Bespoke training for in vivo electrophysiology
Areas E-phys Solutions Can Provide Training
E-phys Solutions aims to provide a complete training package entirely tailored to your specific needs. Every research group has its own strengths and weaknesses, dependent on staff experience, research focus and available equipment. Every group has its own recording requirements, dependent on brain areas and activity in question.
Often the theoretical background is insufficient to make proper decisions about e-phys approaches, but advice on equipment and consumable can be invaluable as well.
If interested, E-phys Solutions first conducts a form-based training-needs analysis and then we communicate directly with you to identify the type of training that would benefit most, based on the desired applications.
Any necessary theoretical background is provided through interactive seminars and relevant references.
Hands on training in preparation of electrodes (e.g. ECoG screw, wire electrodes and tetrodes) and electrode-interface boards.
Training in placing and fixing of electrodes, electrode-interface boards and/or cannulae in rat/mouse cadavers.
Hands on training in placement and fixing using aseptic surgical techniques in live animals, as allowed by the local animal experiment laws and regulations.
Training in animal aftercare and actual recording from the implanted devices and administering stimulations and drugs.
